VCT Pacific Stage 1 2026: Paper Rex made the final look simple

Paper Rex swept FULL SENSE 3–0 for Pacific Stage 1, but the lower-bracket route was less comfortable than the final score.

TGN host reacts as a difficult Paper Rex climb leads to a bright Pacific Stage 1 trophy runway.

Backlog report, updated 14 October 2026. Paper Rex beat FULL SENSE 3–0 in the Pacific Stage 1 final and earned the region’s direct Masters London playoff seed. The team’s own match highlight lists wins on Pearl, Lotus and Fracture. FULL SENSE and Global Esports also booked London places. Do not let the sweep flatten the story: PRX had to fight through the lower side of the playoff bracket to get there.

The TGN read

Paper Rex at full speed can make a structured opponent look like it received the wrong timetable. The more useful long-term signal was their ability to recover from a bracket setback, then close a best-of-five without giving FULL SENSE a map. That matters at Masters, where “we usually play better next series” is a privilege you may no longer have. FULL SENSE still earned the right to test itself internationally; a rough final should not turn a strong qualification run into a punchline.
