Backlog report, updated 14 October 2026. EDward Gaming beat Xi Lai Gaming 3–2 in the China Stage 1 final. Riot’s official match schedule records the five-map result on 10 May. Xi Lai Gaming and Dragon Ranger Gaming completed China’s Masters London trio alongside EDG. A close final is an honest warning against reading the region through one dominant brand: XLG pushed the champion all the way.
The TGN read
Five-map finals expose who can still make clean decisions after the easy prepared looks are gone. EDG won the title, but my longer-term watch was whether China’s three London representatives could turn regional variety into a real international threat. A 3–2 domestic finish means the gap at home was narrow. It says nothing automatic about the next opponent from Americas, EMEA or Pacific. The lazy version of analysis is “China is back” after one series. The better question is which habits survive a new meta and unfamiliar pacing.
