Backlog report, updated 14 October 2026. Brazil’s Stage 2 final on 12 July was not a gentle send-off. Riot’s official schedule records Fluxo beating 2GAME 3–2. The winner took Brazil’s direct Challenger route into the Americas Stage 2 play-ins. The second seed could still enter the three-team Americas LCQ, but that is an extra set of matchups, not the same reward with different packaging.
The TGN read
A five-map final tells us both teams could keep finding answers after the other side adjusted. It does not tell us that either had already solved VCT-level opponents. That was the value of 2026’s Path to Champions: the domestic title became a ticket to another test. Fluxo earned the cleaner route; 2GAME later fought through the LCQ to join them. Brazil getting two play-in representatives was earned through separate competitive routes, not a branding concession. If you want to talk long-term development, this is the model worth watching.
