Americas LCQ 2026: 2GAME reversed the Shopify Rebellion Black result

2GAME lost to Shopify Rebellion Black in the round robin, then won their five-map LCQ final 3–2.

TGN host weighs Shopify Rebellion Black's round-robin win against 2GAME's five-map LCQ final win.

Backlog report, updated 14 October 2026. The Americas LCQ put the second seeds from Brazil, North America and LATAM in a round robin, with the top two advancing to one best-of-five for the last Challenger play-in place. Riot’s match record shows Shopify Rebellion Black beating 2GAME 2–1 on 28 July. Two days later, 2GAME won the rematch final 3–2. Bon Bon Bum Contra exited after the round robin. If you only read the opening result, you miss the tournament.

The TGN read

This is a compact lesson in adjustment. 2GAME did not need to rewrite its whole identity; it needed to find enough answers to flip one matchup when the stakes rose. Shopify Rebellion Black had proved it could beat them, then faced the uncomfortable fact that the final series is the one people remember. I want more of this in the ecosystem: pressure games that reveal whether a team can learn in public. A qualifier should be a test, not a participation certificate with a countdown timer.
