Challengers LATAM 2026: BESTIA beat Contra for the Americas ticket

BESTIA won the LATAM final 3–1 over Bon Bon Bum Contra and advanced to the Americas play-ins.

TGN host points between BESTIA's bright direct ticket route and Contra's winding LCQ route.

Backlog report, updated 14 October 2026. Riot’s schedule lists BESTIA over Bon Bon Bum Contra 3–1 in the 27 July Challengers LATAM final. In the 2026 Path to Champions, LATAM’s strongest north and south teams met for a direct Americas play-in place. The losing finalist was the LATAM entry for the Americas LCQ. BESTIA got the direct ticket; Contra still had a final route to fight through.

The TGN read

The LATAM final is a useful reminder that “regional representative” is not a decorative label. It costs matches across a wider geography and a winner-take-most final. BESTIA handled that pressure. For Contra, losing 3–1 was not the end of the season, but it made every next series heavier. I like a system that gives the runner-up a second route without pretending the final did not matter. The sarcastic alternative would be handing out identical places and calling the trophy a motivational poster.
