Backlog report, updated 14 October 2026. Leviatán won Masters London 3–2 over Paper Rex in the 21 June grand final, according to Riot’s official schedule. The event brought three teams from each of the four VCT regions to London. For my G2 corner, the result was uncomfortable: G2 arrived as Americas Stage 1 champion but did not turn that seed into the London trophy. SEN was absent after missing its Stage 1 playoff cut.
The TGN read
LEV’s title is the strongest answer to anyone who calls a regional second place a ceiling. A bracket result describes a moment, not a team’s full capacity. Paper Rex made the final a five-map test and remain exactly the sort of team that punishes slow adaptation. The key strategic lesson for G2 is also clear: winning your region earns access, not immunity. International matchups ask different questions and they do not care about your domestic trophy photo. I still back G2 long term, but the homework from London was real.
