VCT Americas Stage 1 2026: G2 survived the long way

G2 took the Americas Stage 1 crown over Leviatán and joined LEV and NRG on the Masters London route; SEN missed the playoff cut.

TGN host reacts to G2's long winding route to an Americas Stage 1 trophy, with a separate SEN-out gate at left.

Backlog report, updated 14 October 2026. G2 took the Americas Stage 1 title over Leviatán and secured the region’s top Masters London seed. Leviatán and NRG joined them in the three-team London contingent. Sentinels finished the regular season at 2W–3L in Group Omega and missed the Stage 1 playoff cut. That is the blunt SEN note: a famous badge does not earn a bracket place.

The TGN read

I lean G2 and SEN, so this split was a useful reality check in both directions. G2 did not need a perfect group record to build a winning playoff run; they needed to adapt under pressure. SEN’s problem was the opposite: there was no lower-bracket hero story if the group stage did not put them in the draw. Long term, the gap between those teams is less about a single highlight and more about who can keep finding answers after their first plan gets read. G2’s title was deserved; my SEN loyalty can survive saying that aloud.
